From the eyes of a two-year-old

Fagan and Karen took us out to eat at Friday's on Sunday. We haven't been able to have LST classes with them because of their schedule changes and the needs of their growing family, but it has been encouraging to watch our relationship change into more of a friendship. They brought their 2 year old son with them. It was neat seeing them as loving parents. Ian was so cute. He has always been very scared of us, I think because we look so different. In the past he couldn't keep from crying whenever we talked to him or were just in the room. This time when we got in their car he was cuddled up to his mommy with his eyes closed, trying very hard to be brave. He kept his eyes closed on the ride to the mall and even while he was walking to the restaurant holding his daddy's hand. We felt bad that we were so scary to him, but he was so adorable holding conversations with his eyes closed. By the time they dropped us off Ian was able look us in the eyes as we said good-bye. They asked us to find an English name for their new baby boy. His Chinese name sounds like 'yen han'. Any suggestions?
