Stages and Phases

Katelin has been growing up so fast. In this, her 6th month of life, she has begun pulling up on things so that she is standing on her knees, pushing herself backwards, sitting up from a laying down position, and today she said both, "ba ba," and "ma ma!" Allen is very excited that "ba ba" was her first word - it is Chinese for "Daddy." We expect her to start crawling soon. Wow, time goes by so fast! We decided it was time to lower her crib and when we saw her sleeping in it we were surprised to feel saddened that she no longer looked like a tiny little baby.
Kirstie is also amazing us. I think we can safely say she is potty trained now. She even wears underwear at night time. I have thanked God many times that this process has been fairly painless for our family and much quicker than we were expecting. Kirstie is becoming more and more independent doing tasks such as brushing teeth, washing face and hands, and getting dressed without any help from Mommy or Daddy. She likes to tuck her shirt into her shorts and underwear and sometimes dresses too warmly for a hot day, but we are proud of her nonetheless. Oh, and she has been going to Sunday school class by herself! It has taken awhile for her to feel comfortable on her own in a completely Chinese environment so this is a huge step for her.

Cherry~This is great news! Potty trained and looking like a princess. Your girls are beautiful. Little Katelin looks a lot like Allen, yes? Although, kind of like a Fagen too. I hope your summer is going well...Molly and family will be arriving soon!
Love to you all,
